Here's some common questions you may have about a Softub before purchasing it.

What is the construction of the Softub?
The Softub is made of soft squeezable polypropylene foam, and covered with LeatherTex, a marine-grade vinyl.

How is the water heated?
The hot tub water is heated using a patented heat recovery system, which uses excess heat from the motor to heat the water.

What are the costs to operate the Softub (indoors, outdoors, during winter)?
Operating costs can be as low as $5.00 to $10.00/month indoors, depending on local hydro rates, approximately double these figures if the tub is outdoors, in sub-zero temperatures.

What are some of the benefits to owning a Softub?
Some benefits of owning a Softub are:

What is the weight filled with water for each size?
The weight of the tub filled with water is approximately 10 pounds per gallon. The Softub 140 weighs about 1500lbs. when full, the Softub 220 weighs about 2000lbs. and the Softub 300 weighs about 3200 lbs.

Are there seats for the Softub?
The soft bottom of the Softub is all seat which allows for unlimited seating positions. The new Softub 300 model now has a Therapy/Cool Seat with strategically placed cluster of therapy jets. Water fillable Softcushions are available as portable seats in all Softub models.

What to look for when buying an electric fireplace : Top Questions asked!

#1.  Do they really heat that much?

  • All of our current Dimplex models will heat up a room approx. 20' x 20' (400 Sq feet). They throw out significant heat while making it a comfortable environment for all in the room.
  • Many happy customers have used Dimplex Electric Fireplaces to heat up their rooms during those cold winter nights, with most Dimplex units coming with a controlled heat switch you can set it to what you please.
 

#2.  Where should I put it?

  • If you have purchased a compact/stove fireplace there are quite a few places that are recommended, your garage, your basement or a smaller room. The compact/stove units are ideal to warm up those cold rooms
  • If you have purchased an insert it is best to make that one of the focus points of your room due to the ambiance it will have in your room. The dimplex units have such a realistic look to them that many guests will indeed think it is real. If you don't believe us...tell your friends to touch the flames.
 

#3.  But surely they must cost a lot to run or purchase?

  • Completely incorrect! Infact Dimplex fireplaces are extremely cost effective at roughly 4 to 6 cents per hour on full heat. Electric fireplaces are an extremely reasonable way to heat up your room without noticing a big increase in your monthly bills.

#5 How fast can I get this installed?
  • Dimplex electric fireplaces are extremely easy to install, infact it would actually be faster for you to put the fireplace in your house and plug it in making it functional then it took me to write this sentence for you....now that is quick!

#6 Is there anything else I need to know?
  • It is key to know what size fireplace you will need to fit in whether it be an insert or a stand-alone unit. If you go to www.wesellit.ca you will see all the fireplaces have the exact dimensions on them so all you need to do is pick which size works for you.
  • Their are no hidden costs on Electric fireplaces and no additional up-keep on them.
  • If you are getting a larger sized Dimplex unit (23" insert +) I would recommend having it on a dedicated outlet.
  • We have had hundreds of happy customers as well as our own family members use Dimplex fireplaces. We have been very satisfied with their quality and would highly recommend them to all!
